John M. Buckman III has served as fire chief with the German Township (Indiana) Volunteer Fire Department for 34 years. He served as president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and is the co-founder of the Volunteer and Combination Officers Section of the IAFC. He has also attended the National Fire Academy.
